Each club varies in vibe due to the type of crowd it attracts. They provide so much and everything is so clean. I go to one in Southern California and I love it. Has anyone been a member or currently is one and can speak to if it’s worth the cost, what the environment is like, and the quality of the classes? Are they on par with a studio or is it your typical supplemental gym class? I did read some horror stories about difficulty cancelling memberships but I think that applies to a lot of gyms. I’m planning to drop in to take a tour but I’m struggling with the thought of paying 200 bucks a month for a membership (haven’t gotten an official quote yet but my coworker said it’s around that price) The main draw for me with equinox is the really nice facilities and the classes I like all under one roof. The class schedule is sparse which is why I have the class pass but I find myself going to the same couple of studios over and over (spin and barre) and then driving back to the gym to finish up my workout. Everything else about it is also very basic. The current issue I have with my gym is it’s over crowded by bro’s and I am not really able to use the weight area. The most I have ever paid for a gym is $120 a month which I felt was pricey and I’m currently going to a $45/mo basic gym and supplementing with class pass for another $50 bucks a month. So I’ve been wanting to join equinox for awhile now.
